Meet the Teacher

Had to Share This

My sweet 13 year old just completed a report on autism.  She chose this subject in honor of her brother, who is starting at her middle school this August.  She wanted to educate her teachers on the subject.

Isn't this just A*MAZ*ING?

What We've Been Up To

I have been a VERY BAD blogger lately. The end of the year is plain old crazy.  So much to do in so little time.
We started our Memory Books this week.

We had our Author's Tea, which was more successful than our first Tea in October.

I read The Duckling Finds a Cookie and we made these as a "following direction" activity.  I am writing a unit for Mo Willems and this will surely be included.

Then, of course, we made the Pigeon, too.

Finally, we made an innovation of The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog.

This will be in my Mo Willems unit, too.

I hope to post this unit in June and be looking out for a persuasive unit.

Need Advice-Suggestions Sight Words

We are looking for sight word books at our school.  We want a series that build on one another.  What I mean by that is is one book has could, then the following book should introduce a new word but include all of the words taught to date.
Does anyone know of a series like this?  Thank you!
